What is it with this guy? All of his auctions, identified by Chris Witt,
say the same thing. NOS means only one thing: New Olds Stock, new GM parts
in the original GM box from the shelf of a GM dealer that were never sold
and are left over from inventory at the GM dealer, PERIOD. NOS will be
original GM parts, which will be show quality. What is this guy getting
at?
I've bought NOS parts from dealers that were banged up and scratched from
being tossed around shelves for so many years. I've also bought NOS chrome
emblems for my Olds (again, from a dealer) that were faded to the point that
I didn't want them. When dealers go out of business their inventories often
get passed around and stored in garages, basements, trailers etc until they
get sold on eBay or swap meets. New stuff in original packaging can get beat
up from handling. It's still NOS.
