Had the motor pulled Saturday by Timmy. Went with him last night to Pa
to deliver the engine to a father & son team that rebuild them. They
will dismantle it and tell me what is usable. Told them I wanted a
street car to run mid 13's. Apparently, by driving the car at 80mph on
the highway at 4000 rpms. I blew something. They said that Olds engines
pump too much oil to the heads, leaving very little for the bottom
(crank). To fix this, they would put oil restricters on the bottom,
giving enough oil to the heads, but keeping the crank lubed as well.

I would NOT recommend the oil restricters. Clean up the oil returns use
a larger pan and use a stock oil pump or one with moderately higher
pressure and volume. I'm sure Milton will chime in on this topic as well.
