I may be wrong about the achievia, but  they did make a front wheel drive
442 with a quad 4. and although it may have sounded mean. 
It was in no respect a muscle car

Hello all-

Ron, I don't think Olds ever had an Achieva based 442. They gave it a W-42 
high performance option, but it wasn't called a 442.  They desicrated the 
442 with the Cutlass Calais body style with the "Quad 442".   In it's 
defense, though, for a 4-banger, it sounds MEAN...someone at 442.com has one

in the virtual car show with a sound clip... 190hp, IIRC. Would prolly make 
that little car scream.
