over here or should i say down here and especially in western australia if you are converting a previously registered car you can get $1000 from the state government and $2000 from the federal government making $3000 and the cost of changing to L.P.G. is between $3000-$3500 so at the most you are only out of pocket $500 and that is a computer cotrolled vapour system fuel injected cost about an axtra $2000

If worse comes to worse I'll just convert mine to run on methan or propane, etc.

Hydrogen is a crock. It's a huge waste of energy. It take so much
energy (coal fired electricity) to make it - it doesn't equal out at
all.

Wes
I think that you missed one of the points of the article. At one time, people thought about gasoline the same way as you seem to think about H2. I'm not saying that hydrogen is the future fuel, but it's in the running. Mind you, I shudder to think of people who manage to blow themselves up refueling their cars with gasoline trying to use hydrogen - maybe the professional pump jockey will make a comeback due to H2 safety concerns? BTW, my other car is a rotary-engined RX-7. I turns out that the rotary is nearly ideally suited for burning hydrogen, due to combustion chamber shape. Mazda has a hydrogen-powered RX-8 running around currently.

On digest mode, so I'm a little slow...
