Did you click "Save & Test" in the LDAP configuration section? Did it say it was successful? If you open the "Users" page in WATO, do you see a sycronized list of users with LDAP connectivity?

This dialog can be used to configure and test your LDAP configuration. At least the LDAP Server and Directory Type have to be configured. By default the LDAP connection is an anonymous one. This might work with some LDAP servers, but in most cases you need to authenticate with the LDAP server to be able to read users and groups. This is done by using the "LDAP Bind Credentials". You have to provide the distinguished name and the password of a user account that has the privileges to list users and groups. The distinguished name is the exact path to the user account within the LDAP directory, like for example CN=svc-multisite,OU=Users,DC=corp,DC=de. You should not use 1.2.7iX for production use. Documentation just says there's been a change in handling since 1.2.7i3.
