[Winona Online Democracy]
I'd like to bring in a new topic if anyone's interested. Roads, traffic,
computers are all important, but not my passion. Does anyone care to
comment on health care or insurance in our community? How about the idea of
smoke-free restaurants? Does anyone else worry about the amount of drinking
our young people are doing?

>Greetings!
>
>I thought I would post some instructions that those of you who use
>Microsoft
>Outlook Express might find useful for managing your incoming messages from
>Winona Online Democracy.
>
>By creating a Winona Online Democracy folder and setting up a message rule,
>you can make it so that messages from Winona Online Democracy go to their
>own folder instead of your Inbox. You can then read them at your leisure
>without them becoming too numerous in you Inbox.
>
>The steps are listed below.
>Let me know if you have any questions.
>
>-Steve Kranz
>
>
>STEP 1: Create a new folder by doing the following
>
>1. Open Outlook Express
>
>2. Select "File" from the menu at the top of the screen and choose "New"
>and then choose "Folder"
>
>3. On the screen that comes up, click on "Local Folders" (on the list
>provided) so that it is the highlighted selection
>
>3. Type a name for the folder in the space provided (under "Folder Name")
>that will represent your Winona Online Democracy messages ("Winona Online
>Democracy" for example).
>
>4. Click "O.K."
>
>
>STEP 2: Set the Message Rules by doing the following:
>
>1.Open Outlook Express (if it is not already open)
>
>2. Select "Tools" from the menu at the top of the page, then select
>"Message Rules", then select "Mail"
>
>3. On the screen that comes up, press the button that says "New"
>
>4. On the new screen that comes up, check the box in the first section that
>says, "Where the To line contains people"
>
>5. In the section , check the box that says, "Move it to specified folder"
>
>6. In the bottom section, click on the hyperlink that says "people" and,
>on
>the screen that comes up, type [EMAIL PROTECTED]
>
>7. Click "Add" and then click "O.K." to close the small window
>
>8. Back at the other screen, click on the hyperlink in the bottom section
>that says "specified"
>
>9. Select the folder that you created to place your Winona Online
>Democracy
>messages in.
>
>10. Click "OK" to close that window
>
>11. You should now be back at the previous window.
>
>Now this is what you should see: If, for example, you just set up a folder
>named "Winona Online Democracy" and wanted to move all your Winona Online
>Democracy email to that folder; the bottom section of the window (step 3),
>should now read:
>
>"Apply this rule after the message arrives.
>Where the To line contains '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'
>Move it to the Winona Online Democracy folder. "
>
>12. If it looks o.k., Click "OK"
>
>Now, what this will do for you is that as email comes in from Winona Online
>Democracy it will automatically be moved to the Winona Online Democracy
>folder instead of getting mixed with other emails in your Inbox.
