[Winona Online Democracy]
Let me see if I get this straight:
DM & E is planning on expanding their shipping of coal to Winona, but Winona
has not been included in the plans because technically their line ends in
Winona and it turns into C&P? And if we don't respond to the possible
negative effects this may have on us, by March 6th we have to take whatever
happens?
Concerning Mr. Dooley's responses. I see some common ground here. Before
this degenerates into emotionally charged, defensive exchanges, please be
open to the questions others are raising. It does not appear that this
organization is trying to STOP the coal trains, but make sure that the
company takes responsibility for its expansion. I agree that there may be
some positive effects for Winona, but let's make sure that the city is fully
informed and therefore in charge of its destiny.
