My Comment: There is no dispute over whether the plane was over Chinese territory before the collision of the two aircraft. Here is a portion of an article on the incident from yesterday's New York Times: "Tonight, the Foreign Ministry spokesman gave a more detailed account of the Chinese version of events. Just after 9 a.m. Sunday, he said, as the American EP-3E reconnaissance craft passed 65 miles southeast of China's 12-mile territorial water line with two Chinese F-8 fighters trailing in a "normal" manner, the American plane "made a sudden big movement" to the side, and its left wing bumped into the jet.
