Dwayne Bailey, developer of POOTLE, reacted rapidly on the bugreport.
Thanks for that Dwayne.
Dwayne reproduced the bug and established that it is a fully visual
problem in the Pootle UI.
They will try to fix it in the soon to be released Pootle 2.2

One can check the string to see that everything is indeed fine at:

and search for the offending text.
It seems the problem is SOLVED.
