That sounds like it will make it usable for just about any level of embedded
or desktop system... very nice :)

How about offering a flat rebate for those who bought through donation.
Maybe even a variable rebate based on the number of retail boards sold
(you'd have to cap the rebate amount and set a duration for redeeming the
rebate of course.)  That way you'd get more money up front and you could
wait to send out the rebates until after the retail board hits the shelves.
