Hi All,

Two days before I requested to Tim for details regarding
the planned i/o PINs for OGD. Basically I was looking
for the i/o pin/ connector specification, which includes
the number of PINs, restrictions, connector std etc etc.

But he has not yet decided about them, except that
there are about 100 I/O pins planned for this purpose.

When I requested him to bring up a community opinion
about this, he expressed his helplessness due lack of
time. He inturn requested me to do the same if I don't mind.
Being happy to do whatever help for such a project, I am
posting this.

The purpose is to collect inputs regarding the I/O interface
for OGD board. This interface need to be a std which is
properly thought out in order for 3rd parties to design
Add-on boards for OGD.

a) How many PINs designers can provide.?
b) What kind of std connectors can be used for that much PINS
c) Are there any precedence followed in industry for providing such interface..?
d) Any that else that we need to take care in this standardisation.

Please provide your valuable input so that Tim can proceed with his
hectic schedule.

-thanks and regards
