Uhm no. The most common case runs wintel and is probably not even aware of this project. People that are unusual enough to run BSD/Linux/Plan9/BeOS/OS-X, etc. and thus care about this project are also likely to have other unusual requirements as well. Like oddball monitors that they like for one reason or another. I seem to recall awhile back some list members were worried about supporting monitors with 50 Ohm inputs. BTW, did anyone ever decide if response down to DC was required?
