Reading the ODP version I have these comments:

On slide 7: You write "Graphics hardware for /desktop/". But, doesn't
this board also have a significant niche for servers?  Servers usually
don't need #D, they just need decent 2D 99.9% of the time, so
OGA1/TRV10 would seem to me to be a perfect match as either a build in
or an add-in card for servers.

You have a good point.  But others have argues that for servers, they
often don't even install X11, so what you get is 80x25 text on the
boot console, and you use remote access for everything else.  In that
case, buying the cheapest thing you can get your hands on for the boot
console is all you need.

On the other hand, if you have a box that serves double-duty, then an
open graphics card would be ideal.

Maybe you should mention when the first real consumer grade cards
(OGA1) are expected to be available for purchase.


I couldn't possibly guess when that will happen.
