Assuming that a single bus runs between Columbus and Portland, Greyhound may be a good choice in shipping. You will need to deliver and pickup your payload at a Greyhound station. In my experience, they have been very gentle to my payload.
Note: I have no idea what will happen if your shipment needs to be transferred from one bus to the other.
