-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 I noticed OpenGL 3 was mentioned in news 23. Unfortunately it will probably take a decade for Open Graphics to implement OpenGL 3.
- From the OpenGL 3 update posted at opengl.org by Barthold Lichtenbelt (the OpenGL ARB working group chair): "S3TC is a required texture compression format" The S3TC patent expires in 2017. Unless the S3TC requirement is dropped from the final OpenGL 3 spec Open Graphics will not be able to legally support OpenGL 3 for a long time.
