Hi, I've been pondering a lot during this weekend. Isn't this the time of the year when Google starts to look for project for their Summer of Code thing? Couldn't it be an idea if we were to try and get some fresh blood from the SoC? Anyways, it could be an idea trying to get some software ideas down just in case. I'm presuming that Google SoC is mostly software based. Anyhow, getting ideas for software down, even though not 100% related to OGA1, might help us make OGP more available.
So, to kick off the list of suggestions, I'm going to steal an idea from Mr. Miller and introduce HIDE. Being the GUI tool for creating hardware, it would be an excellent choice for a GSoC project. </suck up> The 2nd is also something I drew from the long list of mails I had in my inbox. It could be useful to extend BOSCH, to have support for our GPU simulator. This would allow us to develop drivers and VGA BIOS without having the actual card. Although it doesn't have to be BOSCH, any virtual machine that allows us to do so would be great. If we have a lot of these suggestions, we should maybe put them up on our wiki. -- Life on the earth might be expensive, but it includes an annual free trip around the sun.
