Yup, if we agree on starting such a project, we need "mentors". Could be
nice stealing some of the "lurkers" for that. Could be nice if we could
somehow poll the mood for something like this?

Well, what can I say?
 1) It's hardware.
 2) We need someone to drill the all of the small holes in the PCBs.

To be able to do this efficiently, training is of dire need. Hence a
Bosch power drill simulator could be nice. Just imagine the cost it would
save us in PC boards if we had a training simulator.
