What is required of such a "mentor"? I'm experienced with software and know at least the theory of hardware design. I've even been toying with my own schematic editor (that 'Gtk with Haskell' idea), but after several months, there's still nothing usable due to lack of free time on my part. I might enjoy guiding the implementation of an IDE, provided, it requires less time than doing it myself. I'll go first: I'm a Supreme Commander fan. My idea of the perfect schematic editor involves a zoom-based UI like the one in Supreme Commander http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MchZAhDFr-I which can switch to editing a different modules by zooming onto one. And some kind of semi-automatic P&R to avoid re-aligning stuff manually. Some other people's idea is the Eclipse Verilog editor: http://sf.net/projects/veditor (BTW: has anyone tried it?)
