A mentor is the guy which has the overall responsibility for the
student, and acts as the contact to the student. What's important here
is that it's more of a "meta-contact", answering personal questions and
helping bootstrapping the student by introducing him to the community. 

All of the technical discussions should be discussed as we normally do,
by using the mailing list and documenting it on the wiki.
