I usually stay as far away from Slashdot as I possibly can, but I
actually lowered the threshold and read through all kinds of crap to get
an idea of what's being said.

'Cause that's just how much I love you guys! ;-)

I did post several "Anonymous Coward" posts (because I just don't want a
Slashdot account), which may or may not improve things.

It appears from my reading that a lot of the problem is just dyslexia --
e.g. people reading "3S400" instead of "3S4000". Also, there were some
wild comparisons to much more expensive boards whose main advantage is
apparently speed.

So there seems to have just been confusion there.

I saw a couple of "I wish I could buy one" posts, but no, that's true.

I'm sure that was terribly funny, but I have no idea what you meant.
Maybe I'd need to know Slashdot better?

What surprised me the most was the relative civility of the comments,
you can see people actually getting informed and changing opinions,
rather than the usually screaming match.

Cheers,
Terry
