Report templates can be complicated, and it's not always easy to understand
what each element of the template means, especially if you don't use the
same templates frequently. We've found it useful to add field hints and
links to local documentation to the report templates.  This was an
enhancement in Release 2.7:

It takes a little time to set these up, but it saves time in the long run
 and promotes consistency in reports.
