Hi,

I can't get OBD v1.01 to verify a datasource. Specific error is "Could
not create a connection to database server". The user/pw work to create
a connection using Navicat, but not in OBD.

I've installed "MySQL Connector J", which the ReadMe says is a JBDC Type
4 driver. The MySQL Server is version 5.0.41, Mac OS X 10.4.11 on a G4
tower. Am I using the correct driver?

Here's the <hoststring> from bluedragon.xml, is this correct:
<hoststring>jdbc:mysql://192.168.1.2:3306/ssp?cacheResultSetMetadata=true&autoReconnect=true</hoststring>

Additionally, I've tried to open IP Port 3306 by creating a custom
protocol in System Preferences > Sharing > Firewall, but Network Util's
Port Scan doesn't list it. There's also a port forward in my Verizon
firewall too. Once the G4 tower is up, I want to duplicate the server on
a G4 laptop.

I launch the database and Apache by using MAMP. I admin the database
using Navicat. The MySQL directory is on my boot drive, while the
webroot is on a secondary HD. Does this matter? All processes and
activities are occurring on the same box, a Mac G4.

I've been trying to crack this nut for a week ... If you could provide
me with the solution, I will be in your debt!

Thank you!
