No, there is no problem... what's the problem in having them ??

You don't create diffs against the modules, simply you update the
module without having to patch anything -- downloading a single
module for updating is not bandwith-consuming (!) and installing
a new version is much more simpler then having to patch some
source code...

This was a mistake, indeed modules are added from the cvs sources
when making a new release/SNAP, that module (as the others .tar.gz)
should not be there...
