Hello,Hi,
I'm facing strange problem and don't know how to handle it. I've updated /etc/openca/config.xml and after configure_etc.sh is run files are not updated from templates. openca-configure doesn't throw any error out. here's example:
ca:/etc/openca/servers# ls ca.* ca.conf.template ca:/etc/openca/servers# /usr/bin/openca-configure /etc/openca/config.xml ca.conf.template ca.conf Error: Message: ca:/etc/openca/servers# echo $? 0 ca:/etc/openca/servers# ls ca.* ca.conf.template ca:/etc/openca/servers#
No ca.conf file. Anything is run as root, Debian Sarge in UML. Is there any way to increase verbosity?
I'm using Sid - I've patched tgz with the diff You provided, and builded packages with no problems, except aclocal error (libtool support). So,
I dnl'ed appropriate lines in configure.in for openca-sv, scep and ldap, also fixed by hand some "CVS: is directory" error (in docs src),
and chmod'ed u+x debian/rules, and all packages builded successfully.
I installed them on my try-on debian box, and it all looks fine.
So i edited config.xml to my needs. I also executed configure_etc without
any problems, all templates copied to appropriate files.
I had to create openca.conf file and put it into /etc/apache-ssl/conf.d,
it would be probably nice to include it into some /usr/share/doc/openca/examples or sth like that :)
This file is pasted at the end of this message.
I also patched libnet-server-perl Server.pm with the diff You directed
me to ;), and it looks like everything is working, at least I haven't discovered any problems so far.
This message purpose in general is to give a witness, that I hadn't problem You describe, generating/installing/configuring packages the same way You did. I'll let You know if I meet other problems.
Ah, btw I also disabled ACL for now on my test installation (changed 128 keys in access_control/* to 0, but I don't think this makes a difference.
If there's really no one else, who'd like take up with the debian stuff in
CVS, I'd be glad to give it a try, however I'm afraid I'm not enough familiar with OpenCA details - Michael what would You say? :)
Regards Piotr
