Hello everybody and Happy New Year!

Two questions:

1. Is there any way to renew via the batch-interface
2. Is there any way to change the validity duration
   via the batch-interface?

Thanks
ToMichael

I'm unclear on how OpenCA handles renewing User certificates.

Is it even possible? Where is it handled in the GUI?

Please go to the RA interface.

informations --> requests (CSRs) --> archived or deleted --> select an old request which you want to renew

After these steps there is a renewal CSR which includes a reference to the original request. You can renew deleted or archived requests only. The status changes are like usual:

RENEW --> PENDING --> APPROVED --> ARCHIVED or DELETED

The reason for this mechanism is simple. If you have finally a new certificate for a key you can always track down the certificate to the original request.

I hope this was the information you needed.

Michael
