 I'm not sure whether Whisper cuts it. I'm currently looking at wxWindows,
which looks promising. And the programs it creates are a bit smaller. If
only a bit.

 I haven't continued work on them yet as Whisper came up then and later
wxwin. If we get one of these we'd have to do less work. And you know how
lazy us programmers are...
