Julian,
I suppose this is compiled and not an interpreter, so this would rule out
that it's useful in OpenCard. But if someone feels they want to add this,
feel free. But since OpenTalk will be such a cool xTalk language, why add a
programming language with lots of ambiguities and manual memory management?

AppleScript and Frontier will be available on the Mac via the Open
Scripting Architecture (OSA), so this shouldn't be a problem. However,
Lingo is (c) Macromedia, which makes me doubt we can use it. Also, it's
pretty much xTalk with a different metaphor, and since we don't have any
cells, frames or actors I am in doubt again. Finally -- BASIC? You know my
opinion, and I think if you have xTalk, adding BASIC would be stupid. But
OC is Open Source. Who wants can add it, but I won't do it.
Cheers,
