Before I was using the vesa driver. Vesa was working fine until Ubuntu
8.04.
Ubuntu 8.04
- vesa: no problem
- openchrome: not tested
Ubuntu 8.10
- vesa: it works only if I use the kernel from 8.04
- openchrome: the screen was a mess, not responding
Ubuntu 8.10
- vesa: it doesn't work in the monitor (it works without problem in VLC)
- openchrome: big square cursor and no winodows in VLC
I donwgraded to the official Ubuntu version r713, and I have the same
problem.
I reconfigured xorg.conf with dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg, and it
doesn't add any option. I tried SWcursor, but it is worse.
