David,
I think its worth while looking into Dx code discrepancies between
OSF/MOTIF 1.2.x and MOTIF 2.1.x. If read correct, a while ago,
somewhere that SGI and a few other vendors will switch to CDE/MOTIF
2.1.x as default by the end of year 2000. We licensed 2.1.2 (which
is current OSF/MOTIF release). DX gets very buggy if compiled with
MOTIF 2.1.2 and X11R6.4, at least on my Windows. Unfortunately I am
leaving on vacations from tomorrow till the end of December, and
would be out of country, I would not be able to spend time of DX
code.

Good New, I today got a Opendx CVS (NOV 22nd) code compiled on
Windows
with OSF/MOTIF 1.2.4. It still uses Cygwin.
I will upload the new binaries to your ftp server today and e-mail
you with a README file. This new ersion of binary will replace the
experimental MOTIF version for Cygwin. It seems to be stable in my
hand, though some glitches remains, therefore I would still declare
it as Experimental, second version.

I will submit patches to CVS after I return. I am running tight on
time before I go on vcacations.

Regards
Suhaib
