I should add that I thought we attributed those problems to the IM incompatibility, not to any changes made since in DXexec.
I was not able to find time to roll back to IM 5.1.1, esp. in light of the apparent attempts to fix DX to work with IM 5.2, and many other deadlines chomping at my ankles, so for the time being, I just write out TIFFs and avoid the IM issues.
