I have not been able to duplicate the startupui problem (below) on couple
of different machines. Is the error appearing when you select Edit Visual
Program, New Visual Program, Samples, all of the above?

I have been trying to run dbx and it just does not seem to be working
correctly. When I run it on the core file, I get the same message as
Susan:

PC value from core file (0x104c2320) is not part of the program.
Assuming return register value (0x104c2320) usable to locate PC.
Core from signal SIGILL: Illegal instruction
(dbx) where
> 0 <Unknown>() [< unknown >, 0x104c2320]

More importantly, dbx is not working on dxexec like I remember. I start
dx -uionly, then start dbx /usr/local/dx/bin_sgi/dxexec
then when I run, it goes into script mode (ie., dx> ) instead of reporting
which port =1900.

Trying to save as a GIF does not always cause a coredump, sometimes I get
the following error in the message window:

Magick: failed to find symbol (dlsym: Unable to locate symbol
RegistergifImage) [No such file or directory].
0: The specified extension or format was unrecognized or unsupported,
tried to use:
 0: gif
0: if format specified is *exactly* 'Image Magick supported format' then
perhaps the file extension is faulty.

If I use upper case image.GIF then it disconnects.

I will try recompiling OpenDX with the new version of ImageMagick.

Which brings up another question, is anyone having problems with the
latest version of ImageMagick on their (non-SGI) system?

Jeff
