The rpm's from the OpenDX download pages for Redhat are statically linked to OpenMotif, thus you don't have to have OpenMotif or Lesstif installed.

What version of RH9 and platform are you running on? We have not been able to reproduce these black lines that everybody is talking about.

David

Hello,

I'm interested in this because it might solve the problems I have with
DX under Debian (strange diagonal black lines). I have tried to

I have the same problem with OpenDX under RH9. I installed the RPMs from
the download area of the openDX website. I have openmotif and lesstif
installed but I don't exactly know which one openDX uses (and I don't
know how to determine or change it).

% rpm -qa | grep motif
openmotif-devel-2.2.2-14
openmotif-2.2.2-14
% rpm -qa | grep lesstif
lesstif-0.93.36-3
lesstif-devel-0.93.36-3

I am interested in getting rid of this black lines too, please let us
know if you find the solution.

Now I observe a lack of Debian knowledge... How can I find out in
which package some file like /usr/lib/libGL.so is located?

Use http://www.debian.org/distrib/packages#search_packages
cu.
