In 6.1, we'd discovered a bug that had the attachments being saved to disk without any checking for existing randomly generated names. We'd only got as far as generating an internal fix for this.

You are no longer able to configure documents to be stored on Storage Media (not database). I was using the last nightly build available and it still allows users to define storage media (Knowledge>Configuration>Document Management). In the new versions you are only allowed to store documents on the database itself.
