I don't think that customers will accept to be merged to 7.0 with the unability to store file on filesysteml! Can we know if it's gonna to be fixed? You are no longer able to configure documents to be stored on Storage Media (not database). I was using the last nightly build available and it still allows users to define storage media (Knowledge>Configuration>Document Management). In the new versions you are only allowed to store documents on the database itself.
