Jason,
1) It's dynamic versioning package management and repository format
2) Enterprise kernel with support for more filesystems (ext3, XFS,
reiser4 etc)
3) Kernel closely tracks upstream
4) Easy distribution maintenance
The project will benefit from faster release cycles and quicker access
to new features.

Rafiu,
Can you give us some insight into what makes rpath of interest to you
and what it may bring to the OpenFiler project?

Subject: [OF-users] Openfiler 2.0 and beyond
Hello List,
Further to the subject of this email, I recently had a communique from a
nice chap at rpath (http://www.rpath.com). They have an incredibly
interesting Linux platform that I'm currently considering as a migration
path for Openfiler in the very near (can u say 2.5?) future.
