What exactly are you running on this box? I thought this was an OpenFiler system? If so, you really shouldn't also be using it for running Virtual Machines (except as storage).
In any case, it sounds like the card you've got just isn't supported (have you tested it under a different distro?). I wasn't able to find anything on USB Controllers showing up as audio devices so I really don't know where to go from here. Jason Litka | Xoxide, Inc.
