No workaround
just get 0.11.1
replace old 0.11
start index (just incremental, no need to start from scratch, so keep old index, there was no format change between 0.11 and 0.11.1) - to get new files picked up (0.11 had too restrictive default ignore files)

don't forget to replace the webapp, since that's where the fix is in (thnx Jens!)

    Hi

Every once in a while I get the following error in the tomcat log
    in our production setup:

    Jun 6, 2012 3:48:06 PM
    org.apache.tomcat.util.net.JIoEndpoint$Acceptor run

    SEVERE: Socket accept failed

    java.net.SocketException: Too many open files

Once this happens , search stops working and does not return
results for any search criteria on any project.

The only way to get it to work again is to bounce tomcat.

Please let me know the cause of this error and if there is a
workaround or fix to prevent this from happening.

    Shailey
