I think he's asking for the equivalent of ipmilan on Windows. That's a tool that runs on the host and provides an IPMI LAN interface through the host. I used this for testing before I had a system that had a real LAN interface, and it became the IPMI simulator.
ipmilan is primarily for testing; it is not IPMI-compliant to use it for production purposes. There was a port of OpenIPMI in progress, but I'm not sure of the current state and I don't think that included this particular utility. -corey Cress, Andrew R wrote: > It provides both, actually: > - pefconfig (or "ipmiutil lan") configures the IPMI LAN channel and > PEF. > - the other ipmiutil functions can operate either locally, or remotely > over IPMI LAN 1.5 or 2.0 (see -N -U -P options to do that) in Linux or > Windows. > > Andy > > -----Original Message----- > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of > zhiheng zhang > Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 11:36 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [Openipmi-developer] IPMI over LAN in Windows > > > look like the tool they can provide ( pefconfig) is suitable for a BMC > already have IPMI LAN channel, however what I need is a daemon program > can act as IPMI LAN interface on host machine even when BMC do not have > LAN channel.
