The upgrade tools will read the MAC information from the DB, and the DB is updated after synchronizing the requisitions ;) > Are you saying that if a node has one interface without a mac suffix, but > many other with a mac suffix, then the whole node will be skipped? No, the tool is going to check if the interface has a MAC or not. If the interface has a MAC, then it will check if there are two directories for the same interface (one with MAC, and one without MAC), if that condition meet, then the interface will be scheduled to be merged. This is an interface level operation, not a node level operation. > This is an example node that hasn't been merged: There is only one interface duplicate: > drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 29 15:11 fxp1_0 > drwxrwxr-x 2 root root 4096 Jan 29 17:12 fxp1_0-020000000004 Its information is consistent with the DB: > 14 | fxp1.0 | 020000000004 Have you tried executing the upgrade tools again (i.e. execute /opt/opennms/bin/upgrade with OpenNMS running) after removing the reference to SnmpInterfaceRrdMigratorOnline in opennms-upgrade-status.properties ? BTW, If SnmpInterfaceRrdMigratorOnline found an error while merging a particular interface, ONLY that interface won't be updated, but the rest should be updated without issues. Alejandro.
