The original problem has now been fixed - openobex now provides
bus/dev/intf numbers:

The release should follow shortly.

So the patch for obex-data-server that does USB discovery can (and
should) be reversed.

Bastien, what about my patch adding Gnome OBEX volume monitor to gvfs?
This has been hanging in the bugzilla for months without a single
comment.
