Hi all

I'd like to propose an event for OpenRISC developers to meet up for
discussion and presentation of recent and future work.

There's been an increase in the amount of work being done for on the
project so it'd be great to get people along to give presentations on
what they've been up to. I'd also like to have discussions on the
future of the project, so things like implementation and architectural
road maps.

I'd plan it as a structured day of presentations (probably up to 1 or
2 hours each, including discussion) followed by something involving
dinner and beer in the evening.

Stockholm seems to be the best venue for such a meet up as there
appears to be the largest number of active developers there. It's also
a relatively cheap and easy place to get to on the low cost airlines.

Date: A Saturday sometime in September or October would be good. It's
going to be hard to pick a date to allow everyone who wants to come to
do so. I've created a poll for people to register the dates when
they're potentially free to come:

Venue: I guess somewhere with a projector and big enough to fit
everyone. If anyone has some suggestions of where to ask, please post
them to this list. I'll also contact some places that we could
possibly use, but the more options the better. Ideally we'll arrange
free, or practically free, venue hire. Hopefully the event will be
entirely free to attend.

Once we have date and time arranged, we'll organise the presentations
- I expect a page on the wiki with those details will materialise.

I'm happy to organise the event - it shouldn't require much really -
just agreeing on the time, date, running order and which pub to go to
afterwards!

Let me know what you think.

Thanks

Julius
