A mail discussion of this has been ongoing. The whole conversation can be seen

And here is a summary:
The following are the solution options 'at this point of time':
1) Add a new attribute for network name to the saClmcluster class
2) Add support for modifying this attribute at run time
3) Check feasibility of adding node_name as a part of mds service_up control
event.
4) Based on (3) change LGS to read the node_name of active node from mds
service_up
or from flat file and post initialization read node information using CLM APIs.
5) The LGS must also be able to detect and act on changes made to the
network name attribute.

Add the possibility to show network name and CLM node name or node id as an
extension of the already existing way of showing the origin of a log record.
For a detailed description of what to implement see the attached .odt document.
To show/document how this can be implemented the ticket will be complimented
with a series of prototype patches that will be attached when ready
