Hi again,

ok, the copyright point is clear to me... After finishing my MFC integration
for OpenSG this weekend I'll start changing some of my IO classes for using
them with OpenSG. I think adding them directly to OpenSG will be the better
solution at the moment....

It should not be a problem (in general) as long as the derived work is
released under the GPL and not the LGPL as OpenSG is. I think you should
be able to combine GPL and LGPL parts as long as the results obeys the
stronger license, GPL in this case. For OpenSG the problem is that we
want to keep the core under LGPL so using the X3DSDK as a must have in
order to run OpenSG is not possible for us. As an add on yes because
than every user can decide for him/her self what the implications of
using GPL'd code are and whether or not to use it.

I haven't checked but IIRC the guys from Aachen already did. We worked
on it some time ago and I think there was a running version but I'm
not quite sure if this was the complete solution or not.
