I *think* it's version 1.6.0. Actually, I'm using the version that's included in
the VR Juggler "dependencies" package. I have a source distribution handy to
look at the examples, but I didn't actually compile it from scratch.
If you think the version from CVS might solve the problems I'm having with
SHLChunks, I may well download it and compile it to be used locally by my
program. But I'd rather not, if there's any way to avoid it, since my program
will be used in a CAVE environment on a 5 PC cluster, where I may have problems
getting the local library (in my $HOME) to be seen by all 5 PCs...
BTW, I have tested, and my scene (as an osb file) loads fine in vred, and the
shader is displayed properly, on my home machine too. So the result of my
"survey" is this:
At home At school
vred works works
my program segfaults works
And I am using exactly the same libs at school as at home for my program, so I'm
running out of ideas... Perhaps OpenSG 1.6.0 has a problem with shaders on ATI
cards? I'll try one of the daily builds to see if that changes anything.
Thanks,
J-S
