yes, that seems to be the cause of the first GL_INVALID_ENUM error, but I can not find any information on what value to specify to read the depth/stencil buffer - what is the correct value to pass to glReadBuffer? (I've asked this on the OpenGL forums, perhaps someone over there can shed some light on this).
