When I first approached this topic I failed to separate out the server from the viewer. Servers are what they are and I am not proposing we touch that part. Just trying to move us away from using SLT for activities and such because it gets confusing. I for one plan on leaving the whole SL thing behind in favor of OpenSim and using constant references to SLT will be clumsy for clients new to the metaverse.
So maybe the questions for this thread becomes: What would be the best ways we can start using UTC now? Event planning? Scripting? Activities on our own regions? Do we have to wait for the viewers to be adjusted? Is it as simple as we just start doing stuff in UTC and not reference SLT anymore? What parts do we leave for the future? -Robert Stefan Andersson wrote: > > > >> If this isn't universally the case (e.g. for script functions) then we >> probably need to change it so that it is always > the case.
