Hi Keith,

   I'm not sure I completely understand your question.  The purpose of
OpenSocial is to help standardize application development across
multiple social networks.  We don't require anyone to share data back
with us to take part of OpenSocial - in fact, there will be many cases
where a third party container hosts another third party application
and no data is transmitted to Google's servers at all.
