libcmd is not ksh93-specific nor is it a "plugin" library in a pure
sense (see my other posting from today).

I would be suprised if either David Korn or Glenn Fowler would accept
such a patch. Both already stated serious concerns and in that way we
would already forking the codebase and that's what I really like to
avoid at all costs.
Sun ruined the current Solaris /usr/bin/ksh that way and I am strongly
AGAINST that this path is continued with the new one - sooner or later
we would end-up with a ksh93 version in OS/Net which would be as hard to
maintain as the current version.
And in that case this project would have failed to archive one of it's
primary goals. We're here to make things better for the OpenSolaris
community - which includes the OS/Net maintainers, developers,
application writers and users - and not replace one six-headed
monstrosity with pink fur with another six-headed monstrosity with
yellow fur (e.g. it would still remain a monstrosity...) ... ;-(
