I don't really see the point to that. NSIG/MAXSIG gets bumped every
few years on average (1994, 1996, 2001, 2003), and I don't see what's
significant about this particular occasion. I'm sure we'll be doing
it again relatively soon.

More to the point: what does changing NSIG/MAXSIG hurt this time
around that we're worried about, and what problem are we trying to
minimize?

If increasing the value of NSIG is not a big deal, then I'm happy to drop any talk of increasing the number of RT signals. NSIG is compiled in to a number of applications (like shells), so it does present an issue with backward compatibility. But, if this is not considered an issue, and it was not considered an issue in the past, then I won't worry about it.
I see. Well, I think it'd be good to have an evaluated RFE for this
one, as it doesn't look to me like a "while you're here anyway" sort
of issue.

Obviously, this would have been done, but, like I said, I'm happy to drop it altogether as a seperate issue.
