The feeling I got when reading the initial replies on this thread was
that the Sun folks were speaking within the context of the Motif
libraries shipped by Sun, which are from the era of CDE, not a modern
implementation of OpenMotif or whatever is contemporary. In this
context, the comparison is not disparaging if it's true, and its true.
You've taken all this to mean or refer to modern Motif, an animal of a
bit different color. If you want to see OpenMotif or whatever
introduced in OpenSolaris in order to replace the ancient and Obsolete
CDE Motif libraries, you like anyone else is encouraged to get a
sponsor and do so. Wouldn't this route be more preferable as an
advocate of a piece of software vs. emitting threats of legal action?
